Event Details

True North Theatre announces our third installment of the Ghosts of Mt. Hope Cemetery walking tour at historic Mt. Hope Cemetery in Bangor.

Join tour guides Reginald and Sarah as they guide you through the history of Bangor with local trivia, spooky stories and encounters with some of the residents of Mt. Hope Cemetery. All tours run about an hour and will require navigating uneven terrain and walking up inclines. Both evening tours are geared toward older audiences (teens and adults only, please) and will require some walking in darkness, so flashlights are strongly recommended. The Saturday day tour will be open to all ages. Kids will be engaged in a special activity designed to help them recognize and learn about symbolism found throughout the cemetery.

NOTE: In effort to control the quality of our tours, we are limiting each tour to 50 participants. To ensure your place in the tour, purchasing online is highly recommended.

When?

Friday, October 13 at 6pm (teens and over please), Saturday, October 14 at 3pm (children welcome; with a special activity for kids) and 6pm (teens and over please).

Where?

Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1048 State St. (There is only open gate to begin the tour. It is the first gate coming from Bangor, and the 3rd from the intersection of Mt. Hope Ave. and Union St. going toward Bangor).

Tickets for each tour is $10. Notices about ticket availability will appear on our Facebook page (fb.com/TNTTrueNorthTheatre) and Instagram (instagram.com/truenorththeatre).
