Stage makeup techniques are key to enhancing and/or transforming an actor's look. Like costume design, makeup helps convey key elements of a character, such as their age, time period, economic circumstances, and health status, to the audience. Although it is not always glamorous, it can certainly enhance an actor's glamour when the role calls for it!

In this workshop, we will demonstrate, and invite students to follow along with, basic stage makeup techniques that will serve them well in their onstage endeavors. We will also recommend some "starter-kit" products that every actor should consider adding to their collection.
