Neighborhood Stories: Portland’s India Street discovers the neighborhood stories of this busy commercial center of Portland in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The India street neighborhood has been a crossroad for Portland's workers, residents, and travelers through the centuries. Thanks to a partnership with the Committee to Restore the Abyssinian the tour ends with an exclusive look inside the Abyssinian Meeting House, America's 3rd oldest African-American Meeting House.

Mondays at 10:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. from June 24th to October 14th. Tours begin at One India Street. Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Please note: no bathroom facilities are available on this walk.

Meet outside the Gorham Savings Bank Building, formerly, the Grand Trunk Railroad Offices.
